Neptune Wins Best of Show at GENIVI

AVE AutoMedia’s Kids Video App, Neptune, Is Recognized At Connected Car Event

Portland, Oregon, USA – October 12, 2016 – AVE AutoMedia, the maker of the soon-to-be-launched Neptune video app for kids, is excited to announce that Neptune was selected as Best of Show for Startups at the GENIVI All Member meeting on October 20, 2016.  Neptune was featured in the startup showcase and attendees voted on their favorite demonstrations.

The GENIVI All Member Meeting brought together automotive manufactures, suppliers and startups for a 3 day event that focused on the future of the connected car and smart city technology.  Regarding the GENIVI event, AVE AutoMedia CEO Ryan McManus stated, “GENIVI brought together the industry for some focused conversations on Infotainment and smart cities.  The in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) experience might be more critical to consumers adoption of autonomous vehicles than the self-driving technology itself. It comes down to trust and that trust will be delivered through the infotainment system.  Neptune addresses a demand for connected car apps for children while demonstrating deeper functionality that enhances the user experience for driver, passenger, and media provider.  With so many other great startups at the conference, We are honored to have been recognized as Best of Show at this year’s GENIVI All Member Meeting.”

AVE AutoMedia demonstrated the Neptune app and showed how the connected car application can enhance the user experience for kids and parents through integration with an in-vehicle infotainment system. Neptune allows parents to control the content experience while giving children a universe of educational and entertaining content that they can take with them.

Regarding the Neptune demonstration, AVE Product Manager Jared Young said, “Kids will love that they can take their content with them in the car. We have designed Neptune to work on tablets and we are working with OEMs to integrate with IVI systems to deliver an even better user experience.”

Parents are invited to sign up to be a beta tester for the Neptune application at WatchNeptune.com/beta
